In this video, Rooster Teeth producer Alanah Pearce takes approximately 14 minutes at a fast gallop to cross the Red Dead Redemption 2 map from corner-to-corner. In the original comparison dontyoudare411 compared the GTA 4 map to the Watch Dogs map using a bridge and in game footage to match the size of the maps. For example, all of GTA IV 's boroughs-Broker, Dukes, Bohan and Alqonquin-are a little larger than the Los Santos metropolitan area, indicating how much larger Grand Theft Auto V is than GTA IV. But Rockstar Games' Rockstar Advanced Engine (RAGE) has been in use since Grand Theft Auto IV, making it possible to make rough approximations from open-world to open-world, because assumptions about distances and scale stay consistent. Red Dead Redemption 2 even includes much of the map from the first Red Dead Redemption -essentially everything north of the San Luis River -which allows us to draw some very rough comparisons from one map to another.Ĭomparing the sizes of in-game worlds can be tricky, because different developers use different scales. But until base building is introduced(if it is I missed it cause I don't follow like that), this game is on hold.īTW, is base building in the game? lol So it's on hold until something comes to the game you are aren't following ? so what's your plan, just make a guess one day that it might be in the game.Rockstar Games has been a little cagey on the exact size of Red Dead Redemption 2's map, preferring people discover it for themselves, but it's almost certainly the largest they've ever created. My short playtime in SCUM was fun, don't get me wrong. I do the SP, and a big part of my survival game play is base building, not just camping out in an already built place(although it does seem more logical in this specific scenario). I haven't played in awhile, but SCUM doesn't have much to offer in comparison(and I know it's in EA). The Ravage mods for ARMA 3, really bring the zombie survival to another level. While I have not played the SA DayZ(mainly due to bad reviews and numerous bugs), I have many hours in ARMA 2 DayZ mod, as well as ARMA 3 Ravage mods(no DayZ in ARMA 3 due to licencing). Originally posted by □KingZher0□:I think it would depend on what DayZ you are talking about. Wait.one moment.let me think.no nothing, nothing else than the above!!! In Dayz the night is night!!!if you have not a torch or something better you go to sleep.) NIGHT MATTER (in dayz they have a system where its useless to use gamma ♥♥♥♥ to make the night a ''dark day''. In Scum when you die.mhhh well if you have good friends you can spawn on them, take your ♥♥♥♥ back that they are guarding for you and you are ok, ready to go yehiiiii!!!No problem in scum.nothing happened!!! DIE MATTER in Dayz (when you die in Dayz, you die!!!You are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ full stop, no baby crying there.start all over again on the coast). INERTIA (but sadly jumping its the new zigzagging!!!) depending on the size of your hard-drive and the boot CD/USB that you are using. METABOLISM (In scum you have not that 3/4 poor bars.you have a system that simulates, for how much is possible, a real metabolism) The real-life scum generally disappear, never to be heard from again. SKILL (scum have a complex system of skills that make each char unique, with his specific abilities) Better car handling (drive cars in scum is funny as ♥♥♥♥) In the end (very far end) map will (maybe) be way large than Dayz CAMOUFLAGE (when you think you are well hidden somewhere.well probably you are for real and others cant see you) Its only 6 months in development.the road map is HUGE!!! Scum have not the havoc of ''server jumping'' that affect dayz BETTER PERFORMANCE (Both have problems in this regard, but scum is 6 months in the optimizations, dayz 6 years) BETTER GRAPHIC (look at mid terrain for example, dayz have that pastel washed aspect of mid terrain, even at higher settings scum (UE4 btw) have a mind blowing mid terrain, if in Epic )
